The Pilat apple, queen of flavours
Yellow coloured tinged with pink, the Pilat apple has a crunchy and sweet taste, a typically distinctive flavour of a mountainous region fruit!
Made from Golden and Gala varieties, the Pilat apple is grown on the Rhone highlands around Maclas, Bessey and Pélussin at an altitude of 250 to 700 metres. The Pilat apple is celebrated each year during the Apple Festival, on the 11th November in Pélussin.
