Watching over the Pilat
Mont Monnet, the last summit at the north-eastern end of the Pilat massif, has a small chapel on its rounded back, clinging to the rocks, and a madonna with child who seems to be watching over the Rhodanian piedmont from her pedestal.
Hiking to the top of Mont Monnet, on foot or mountain bike on rocky paths with a steep gradient, reinforces - once at the summit - a feeling of tranquillity and immensity typical of the "belvedere" summits above Pilat : a precious meditative moment to « recharge your batteries » before continuing the walk.
